கோயம்புத்தூர் கோஆஸ்ட் கார்டோமேனியா (CoASTT Kartomania) வளாகத்தில் ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை நடைபெற்ற ஐஏஎம்இ சீரிஸ் இந்தியா (IAME Series India) 2026 முதல் சுற்றுப் போட்டி விறுவிறுப்பான பந்தயங்களுடன் நிறைவடைந்தது. பல இளம் ஓட்டுநர்கள் தங்களது திறமையை வெளிப்படுத்திய இந்தப் போட்டியில் ஜூனியர் பிரிவில் சென்னை வீரர்கள் ஆதித்யா பிரதாப் மற்றும் ரெஹான் கான் ரஷீத் கவனம் ஈர்த்தனர்.

ஜூனியர் பிரிவில் மொமென்டம் மோட்டார்ஸ்போர்ட்ஸ் அணியைச் சேர்ந்த ஆதித்யா பிரதாப் சூப்பர் ஹீட் பந்தயத்தில் வெற்றி பெற்றார். அதே அணியைச் சேர்ந்த ரெஹான் கான் ரஷீத் இறுதிப்போட்டியில் முதலிடம் பிடித்து அசத்தினார். இருவரும் கடுமையான போட்டியை எதிர்கொண்டு வெற்றி பெற்றது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

மினி பிரிவில், இந்தியாவின் முதல் ஃபார்முலா-1 ஓட்டுநரான நரேன் கார்த்திகேயனின் மகன் சிவ் நீல் சிறப்பாக செயல்பட்டார். சூப்பர் ஹீட் பந்தயத்தில் முதலில் வெற்றி பெற்ற ஆருத்ரன் பிரபுவுக்கு விதிமீறலுக்காக நேர அபராதம் விதிக்கப்பட்டதால், சிவ் நீல் முதலிடத்துக்கு முன்னேறினார். இறுதிப்போட்டியில் போல்பொசிஷனில் தொடங்கிய சிவ் நீல் பெரும்பாலான சுற்றுகளில் முன்னிலையில் இருந்தாலும், இறுதிக்கட்டத்தில் கோலாப்பூரைச் சேர்ந்த அயன்ஷ் பட்டீல் முன்னேறி வெற்றி பெற்றார்.

சீனியர் பிரிவில் புனேவைச் சேர்ந்த ஸ்வர்ணவ் தாஸ் ஆதிக்கம் செலுத்தினார். மொமென்டம் மோட்டார்ஸ்போர்ட்ஸ் அணிக்காக போட்டியிட்ட அவர், சூப்பர் ஹீட் மற்றும் இறுதிப்போட்டி ஆகிய இரண்டிலும் வெற்றி பெற்று தனது திறமையை நிரூபித்தார்.

இந்த தொடரின் இரண்டாவது சுற்று வரும் ஜூன் 28-ஆம் தேதி இதே கோயம்புத்தூர் மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.

இந்தியாவில் முதன்முறையாக நடத்தப்படும் ஐஏஎம்இ சீரிஸ், தொடரின் இறுதியில் ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவிலும் முதல் இரண்டு இடங்களைப் பெறும் ஓட்டுநர்களுக்கு டிசம்பரில் வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க மகாவ் சர்வதேச சர்க்யூட்டில் நடைபெறவுள்ள ஐஏஎம்இ ஆசிய இறுதிப்போட்டியில் இந்தியாவை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் வாய்ப்பை வழங்குகிறது.

1968-ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்ட ஐஏஎம்இ (Italian American Motor Engineering), உலகின் முன்னணி கார்ட்டிங் இன்ஜின் உற்பத்தியாளர்களில் ஒன்றாகும். 60 உலக சாம்பியன் பட்டங்கள், பல சர்வதேச வெற்றிகள் மற்றும் உலகத் தரம் வாய்ந்த ஓட்டுநர்களை உருவாக்கிய பெருமையை இந்த நிறுவனம் பெற்றுள்ளது. சமமான செயல்திறன், கட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்ட செலவுகள் மற்றும் நியாயமான போட்டி என்ற கொள்கைகளை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு இந்தத் தொடர் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Coimbatore, May 31: The IAME Series India made its debut in the country with a hectic, action-packed first round at the CoASTT Kartomania here on Sunday which saw talented young drivers hogging the limelight with stirring performances that reflected the highly-competitive grids.

Drivers from Momentum Motorsports dominated the Junior class with two Chennai youngsters, Adithya Prathap and Rehan Khan Rasheed winning the points-scoring Super Heat and Finals, respectively, but both had to fight hard for their win.

In the Mini class, Coimbatore’s Shiv Neel, son of India’s first Formula One driver, Narain Karthikeyan, topped the Super Heat after race winner Aaruthran Prabu (Karkrew Motorsports), a gold-medallist at last year’s Asia-Pacific competition in Sri Lanka, received time penalty for infringements and was placed second.

Shiv Neel, starting the Final race from pole position, led most of the way until he yielded ground to Kolhapur’s Ayansh Patil (MSPORT) in the final stages of the 13-lap race.

The Senior class saw Pune’s Swarnav Das (Momentum Motorsports) winning both Super Heat and the Final, virtually untroubled, facing little or no challenge.

The second round of the IAME Series India will be held at the same venue on June 28.

The IAME Series India offers an opportunity for the top two finishers in each category at the end of the Series to represent India at the prestigious IAME Asia Finals, scheduled to be held at the historic Macau International Circuit in December.
